Home > Beavers

Beaver Scouts are the youngest of the Scouting family and are aged from 6 to 8 years.  For these youngsters, this is very much an introduction to what Scouting means.  They have fun, are creative and play games with their friends.  In the warmer months, they’ll spend some of their time doing activities outdoors.  Occasionally, there will be an opportunity to stay away from home – usually sleeping indoors and staying away for just one night.

As an introduction to the sort of things they might get up to in Cubs, Beavers will have very occasional opportunities to get involved in Canoeing, Archery or simple cooking on an open fire.

Beavers can earn a wide range of activity and challenge badges through participating in different aspects of the programme and pursuing interests in their own time.  Details of the full range of badges can be found here:

In Corsham, Beavers meet at the Scout Headquarters from 6.00pm to 7.15pm on Tuesday evenings.
